Database Maintenance

Database maintenance is an activity that makes sure that a database consisting a library of information in a well organized, accessible format, runs smoothly and does not lose functionality. The most important thing that we can do in a database maintenance is to have a complete back up of the data, so that if anything happens, there will be another copy available. Database is maintained by continuously checking the signs of abnormalities or corruption in the database, including rebuilding indexes and removing duplicate records.
